Students participating in GeoWall study soil properties and other engineering fundamentals to design a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining wall using paper. Students must focus on foundation engineering in order to create the lightest and most efficient reinforcement.
The GeoWall Team competes in the annual Pacific Southwest Student Symposium (PSWS) in conjunction with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Geo-Institute.
